Dec 22, 2014 Windows XP, Vista and 7 need to go to C:UsersyourusernameDocumentsMy Kindle Content. On a Mac, you'll find the book in /Documents/My Kindle Content.
- If you want to setup Kindle on your Mac first you need to download kindle app for mac. After you can easy access books from Amazon on your Mac using its sync function. You need to first choose book and right click on it then choose the option read from the appeared menu. For synchronize kindle device follow steps.
- The Kindle app stores AZW files, but only downloads them for Amazon-purchased content that you have opened in the Kindle app on that computer. The AZW files are saved in /Documents/My Kindle Content. Their names are random-looking (like B0043M4ZH0EBOK), so it takes a little work to figure out which file corresponds to which book.
To find your Mac model, memory, storage space, and macOS version, choose About This Mac from the Apple menu . If your Mac isn't compatible with OS X Yosemite, the installer will let you know.
Make a backup

Get connected
It takes time to download and install OS X, so make sure that you have a reliable Internet connection. If you're using a Mac notebook computer, plug it into AC power.

If you still need OS X Yosemite, use this link: Download OS X Yosemite. A file named InstallMacOSX.dmg will download to your Mac.
Install the macOS installer
Double-click the downloaded file to open a window showing its contents. Then double-click the file within, named InstallMacOSX.pkg.
Follow the onscreen instructions, which will guide you through the steps necessary to install.
Begin installation
After installation of the installer is complete, open the Applications folder on your Mac, then double-click the file named Install OS X Yosemite.

Hello,
Before I get to my question, I'm on a 2015 MacBook Pro Retina running 10.10.5 (Yosemite).
So my native language is English and it's the primary language on my Mac. However, I lived in Japan for a few years and used previous Macs partially in Japanese. I now prefer the format language for dates, times, and numbers to be set to Japanese, solely because I prefer the layout on the Menu bar.
I need some help changing the language of the Kindle app to default to English, not Japanese. Changing the format language from Japanese back to English corrects this, but I feel like there has to be (or should be) a workaround to allow me to keep the Menu bar in Japanese and open Kindle in English. No other applications behave this way; everything else defaults to English. I have tried deleting the secondary language as Japanese, tried a variety of applications that claim to do this for you, even fooled around with Terminal a little bit, but nothing has worked. The only thing that has ever worked is changing the format language in settings, as aforementioned. But it's a real pain to have to switch that any time I need to use the Kindle app, then switch back when I'm done.

Anyone have any idea how I can achieve this?
