Jan 21, 2017 Hi i have a Dell Precision M6700 Notebook. Now i want to run Yosemite on it. The Unibeast stick is made with my iMac and now i want to install i on this Dell Book. The Specs: CPU: Intel Core i5-3340M Graphic: Intel HD Graphics 4000 Video.
- Jul 14, 2017 I too am looking for a download location for Yosemite. My iMac is running 10.8.5, Mountain Lion. I have a large investment in some music software which is only supported up to 10.10.5 version of Yosemite. Can anyone point me to a good download site?
- Nov 24, 2014 Before you begin, if you have a Mac Pro, get a better graphics card, your default one will suck, thanks to Yosemite. The one that I am using as a stop-gap actually works fine for Yosemite, it is currently $35 (USD) on Newegg, if you want it, here is the link.
The App Store only shows updates for the OS you are using at the moment, in your case Yosemite 10.10.5.
If you want to go to another newer OS that is called an upgrade. This can be done through the App Store using the following link.
High Sierra is the last/ newest OS your Mac can use. Scroll down to Section 4 and click on Get macOS High Sierra.
Make a full back up of your Mac before upgrading.
Check to see with the developers of any third party apps you use that there are updates available so they will continue to work in the new OS. Another thing you need to check is if any printers/ scanners etc you use have updated drivers and software so they too can continue to function in the new OS.
